Mrs. Margarette Woodard
Mrs. Margarette Woodard is married to Pastor Woodard and is an anointed, powerful and inspiring preacher and teacher herself. She answered the call to ministry in 1978, while experiencing a successful career of administration work at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). Dr. Woodard serves in partnership with her husband at Unity in the Community, based in Los Angeles, California.
From an early age, she has known the power of the Holy Spirit and anointing of the Lord Jesus Christ. Dr. Woodard was brought up in a Christian home with father, mother, 9 brothers, and 2 sisters. Her parents gave birth to 9 boys and 5 girls. Her mother, Susie Mathis Boyd was a devout woman of prayer and faith. She paved the way for her daughter, as she watched her mother pray, sing, and live a godly life. Listening to her mother made a tremendous impact on Dr. Woodard’s life.
She received her ministry education and training from the Marina Cathedral—Cathedral University, located in Marina del Rey, California. Dr. Woodard received additional training at First Southern Baptist Church in Inglewood, California and WCM of Fresno, California. She is also a graduate of Jarvis Christian College in Hawkins, Texas. Dr. Woodard has been serving in the ministry faithfully as a teacher, counselor, and intercessory prayer warrior since 1978.
Mrs. Woodard is a Born Again Christian, having received Christ in 1960. She is a house of prayer and praise for the King of kings and Lord of lords. Jesus is her ultimate example and she gives Him all the glory, honor, and praise for His everlasting compassion and love.
The following Scripture verses express her deep love and commitment to God and passion for the ministry entrusted to her by the God of heaven, fulfilling her destiny:
“I love the Lord because He hears my prayers and answers them. Because he bends down and listens, I will pray as long as I breathe!” (Psalms 116:1, 2 LB)
“Oh thank the Lord, for He’s so good! His loving kindness is forever. (Psalms 105:1)
